Since May 2026, ACS Publisher journals have been publishing articles in full-text JATS XML (Journal Article Tag Suite) β the international standard used by PubMed Central and by many abstracting and indexing services. More than 250 articles across 19 journals are now available in this format, and the number grows with every new issue.
What it means for readers
The complete article opens directly in the browser β sections, tables, figures and a reference list you can follow with a click. No PDF download is needed.
What it means for authors
Your work is published in a structured, machine-readable format. Titles, authors, affiliations, abstracts and references are each clearly tagged, so libraries, discovery services and indexing databases can read and process them accurately.
