Every manuscript submitted to an ACS Publisher journal is screened for similarity before peer review, using Crossref Similarity Check, powered by Turnitin's iThenticate.
ACS Publisher screens every manuscript submitted to its journals for similarity before peer review, using Crossref Similarity Check, powered by Turnitin's iThenticate.
A manuscript with a similarity index above 20% is returned to the authors to revise the overlapping text before it can proceed to peer review. A manuscript with a similarity index above 65% is rejected.
Every article we publish also receives a Crossref DOI, so it can be cited and found permanently.
