Abstract

Samuel Hahnemann, in Aphorism  260 of the Organon of Medicine,  emphasizes the necessity of  investigating and removing  obstacles to cure, particularly in  chronic diseases. Even the most  accurately selected remedy may fail  if lifestyle, diet, or environmental  maintaining causes persist. This  article presents clinical case  reports that exemplify how dietary, mechanical, environmental, and  foreign body factors obstruct cure,  and discusses the physician’s role as  a preserver of health.
