Investigation on Seasonal Incidence of ber fruit fly, Carpomyia vesuviana Costa and their correlation with abiotic factors at Asalpur farm, S.K.N College of Agriculture, Jobner to document the Fruit fly, Carpomyia vesuviana infestation started in fourth week of October (44th SMW) and remained throughout the season during both years of 2021-22 and 2022-23. Ber fruit fly infestation reached to its peak in February, with the highest infestation rates (43.20 and 41.10 % and 42.00 and 42.37 % both on number and weight basis) recorded during the last week of February (9th SMW) and the second week of February (7th SMW) in the consecutive seasons of 2021-22 and 2022-23, respectively. The findings from the correlation studies revealed that the fruit fly infestation (both the basis of number and weight) showed a strong positive correlation (r= 0.806, 0.789) with wind velocity during 2021-22. Conversely, fruit fly infestation (both the basis of number and weight) had a significant positive correlation (r= 0.576 and 0.603) with morning relative humidity during 2022-23. The other weather parameters (maximum temperature, minimum temperature, evening relative humidity, rainfall and BSSH) had non significant correlation with per cent fruit damage both on number & weight basis during both the years of study.
