Prakriti – The International Multidisciplinary Research Journal

1. About the Journal

Prakriti – The International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (PIMRJ) is a peer-reviewed international journal that provides a platform for original research, scholarly analysis, and interdisciplinary studies.

The journal welcomes high-quality research from different academic disciplines and encourages multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary scientific, social, technological, environmental, economic, educational, cultural, and professional issues.

Authors are invited to submit original Research Articles, Review Articles, Case Studies, and other scholarly contributions relevant to the scope of the journal.

2. Scope

PIMRJ welcomes manuscripts in, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Science and Applied Sciences

• Environmental Studies and Sustainability

• Geography and Geospatial Studies

• Disaster Management

• Social Sciences

• Humanities

• Education

• Management and Business Studies

• Economics and Commerce

Manuscripts should demonstrate academic relevance, originality, and a meaningful contribution to the selected field.

3. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Research Article: Original research presenting a clearly defined research problem, appropriate methodology, findings, discussion, and conclusions.

Review Article: A critical and systematic review of published literature on a significant topic within the journal's scope.

Case Study: An in-depth analysis of a specific case, institution, community, location, event, process, or practical issue.

Other scholarly contributions may be considered at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

4. Originality and Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts submitted to PIMRJ must be original and must not have been previously published in any journal, book, conference proceedings, website, or other publication.

A manuscript must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original and that all necessary permissions have been obtained for third-party material.

5. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), OpenOffice, or RTF format.

Authors should follow these basic formatting requirements:

• Use a clear and readable 12-point font.

• Use single line spacing.

• Use appropriate headings and subheadings.

• Number pages where appropriate.

• Tables and figures should be placed near their first citation in the manuscript.

• The manuscript should be carefully proofread before submission.

• The manuscript should use consistent terminology, abbreviations, units, and referencing throughout.

Authors should avoid unnecessary formatting, decorative fonts, excessive colours, and complicated page layouts.

6. Title Page

The manuscript should include:

• Full title of the article

• Full name of each author

• Department and institutional affiliation

• City and country

• Email address of each author

• ORCID iD, where available

• Identification of the corresponding author

The author information entered into the OJS submission system should be consistent with the information provided in the manuscript.

7. Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the manuscript and should normally be between 150 and 250 words.

For Research Articles, the abstract should preferably include:

• Background or context

• Objective

• Methodology

• Major findings

• Conclusion or implications

The abstract should be understandable independently and should not contain unnecessary references.

8. Keywords

Authors should provide 4–8 keywords immediately after the abstract.

Keywords should accurately represent the principal concepts, subjects, methods, and research areas covered by the manuscript.

9. Structure of the Manuscript

The structure may vary according to the discipline and type of manuscript.

Research Articles should generally include:

1. Introduction

2. Review of Literature / Background

3. Research Objectives / Research Questions

4. Methodology

5. Results / Findings

6. Discussion

7. Conclusion

8. Implications / Recommendations, where applicable

9. Limitations, where applicable

10. Acknowledgements, where applicable

Authors may adapt the structure where required by the nature of their discipline or research methodology.

10. Introduction

The Introduction should clearly explain the background and significance of the study.

It should identify the research problem, knowledge gap, objectives, research questions or hypotheses, where applicable, and explain the contribution of the study.

11. Methodology

The methodology should provide sufficient information to understand how the research was conducted.

Depending on the discipline, authors should describe the research design, study area, participants or population, sampling procedures, data sources, data collection methods, analytical techniques, statistical methods, software, and other relevant procedures.

Where research involves human participants, animals, sensitive information, or other ethical considerations, appropriate ethical approval and consent information should be provided.

12. Results and Findings

Results should be presented clearly and logically.

Authors should ensure that:

• Findings directly address the research objectives.

• Statistical results are accurately reported where applicable.

• Tables and figures are properly cited.

• Information is not unnecessarily duplicated between the text, tables, and figures.

13. Discussion

The Discussion should interpret the findings and relate them to existing research, relevant theories, and the objectives of the study.

Authors should highlight important similarities, differences, implications, and contributions of the research.

14. Conclusion

The Conclusion should summarize the major findings and explain their significance.

Where appropriate, authors may include practical implications, policy recommendations, limitations, and suggestions for future research.

15. Tables

Tables should:

• Be numbered consecutively.

• Have a clear and descriptive title.

• Be cited in the main text.

• Be understandable and appropriately formatted.

• Avoid unnecessary duplication of information.

16. Figures, Charts, Maps and Images

All figures, charts, maps, photographs, and diagrams should be:

• Numbered consecutively.

• Clearly captioned.

• Cited in the manuscript.

• Of sufficient quality for publication.

• Relevant to the research.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material where required.

17. References

All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the reference list, and all references listed should be cited in the manuscript.

Authors should ensure that references are accurate, complete, relevant, and traceable.

Where available, authors should provide DOI links or URLs for references.

Authors should carefully verify author names, article titles, journal names, publication year, volume, issue, page numbers, DOI, and other bibliographic information before submission.

Fabricated, unverifiable, or intentionally inaccurate references are not acceptable.

18. Research Ethics

Authors must comply with recognized standards of research ethics and integrity.

Where applicable, manuscripts should provide information regarding:

• Ethical approval

• Informed consent

• Participant consent

• Data protection and privacy

• Confidentiality

• Institutional permissions

• Animal welfare requirements

The Editorial Board may request additional ethical documentation where necessary.

19. Plagiarism and Similarity

All submitted manuscripts may be checked for plagiarism, excessive similarity, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all ideas, text, data, figures, tables, and other material obtained from external sources are appropriately acknowledged and cited.

Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated information, or other serious academic misconduct may be rejected.

20. Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript.

All authors should:

• Have made a significant contribution to the work.

• Participate in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.

• Approve the final version.

• Accept responsibility for the integrity of the work.

All authors must approve the manuscript before submission.

Any change in authorship after submission must be supported by a valid reason and approval from all affected authors.

21. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other relationships that may influence or appear to influence the research.

If there is no conflict of interest, authors may state:

"The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."

22. Funding

Authors should disclose all financial support received for the research.

Where no specific funding was received, authors may state:

"The authors received no specific funding for this research."

23. Data Availability

Where applicable, authors should provide a Data Availability Statement explaining whether the data supporting the findings are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, subject to restrictions, or not applicable.

Authors must not disclose confidential or personally identifiable information without appropriate authorization.

24. Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI

Authors may use artificial intelligence tools for limited purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, formatting, or similar editorial assistance.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and authenticity of the submitted manuscript.

AI tools must not be used to fabricate or manipulate data, results, references, citations, images, or research findings.

Where AI or generative AI has been substantially used in preparing the manuscript, authors should provide an appropriate disclosure.

25. Acknowledgements

Individuals, institutions, organizations, or funding bodies that contributed to the research but do not qualify for authorship may be acknowledged.

Authors should obtain appropriate permission before naming individuals in the Acknowledgements section where necessary.

26. Submission Procedure

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's online submission system:

Authors should register or log in to the journal website and follow the online submission procedure.

During submission, authors are required to provide accurate metadata, including:

• Article title

• Author names

• Affiliations

• Email addresses

• Abstract

• Keywords

• References

• Corresponding author details

The metadata entered into OJS should match the manuscript.

27. Editorial Screening

All submissions are subject to an initial editorial screening before peer review.

The Editorial Board may decline a manuscript without external peer review if it:

• Falls outside the scope of the journal.

• Does not meet minimum academic standards.

• Lacks sufficient originality or scholarly contribution.

• Contains significant methodological weaknesses.

• Contains substantial plagiarism or similarity.

• Has serious ethical concerns.

• Does not comply with essential submission requirements.

• Has major language or presentation problems that prevent proper evaluation.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

28. Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening may be sent for peer review.

The journal may use a suitable peer-review model depending on the manuscript and editorial requirements.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on factors including:

• Originality

• Relevance

• Academic quality

• Methodological soundness

• Clarity of presentation

• Validity of results

• Quality of discussion

• References and scholarly contribution

The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editorial Board.

29. Revision

When revisions are requested, authors should submit a revised manuscript within the specified period.

Authors may also be required to provide a point-by-point response explaining how reviewer comments have been addressed.

Failure to adequately address reviewer comments may result in rejection.

30. Publication and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts may undergo editorial processing, copyediting, proofreading, typesetting, metadata preparation, DOI registration, XML preparation, and online publication.

Authors may be contacted during production for clarification or correction.

Authors should carefully verify the final proof, particularly:

• Article title

• Author names

• Affiliations

• Abstract

• Tables

• Figures

• References

• DOI

• Other article metadata

Only necessary corrections should be requested at the proof stage.

31. Publication Charges

Any applicable publication or processing charges will be communicated to authors according to the journal's current publication policy.

Authors should refer to the journal website or contact the Editorial Office for current information regarding applicable charges.

32. Copyright and Permissions

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions for all third-party material included in the manuscript.

This includes photographs, figures, tables, datasets, illustrations, and previously published material.

33. Corrections, Retractions and Post-Publication Issues

The journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when significant errors, ethical concerns, plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, or other serious issues are identified.

Post-publication concerns may be investigated by the Editorial Board in accordance with accepted publication-ethics standards.

34. Author Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

• The manuscript is within the scope of PIMRJ.

• The work is original and has not been published elsewhere.

• The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.

• All authors have approved the manuscript.

• The corresponding author has been identified.

• Author names and affiliations are complete and accurate.

• An appropriate title is provided.

• The abstract is included.

• 4–8 keywords are provided.

• The methodology is adequately described.

• Results and discussion are clearly presented.

• Tables and figures are numbered and cited.

• References are complete and accurate.

• DOI/URLs are provided where available.

• Ethical approval or consent information is included where applicable.

• Conflict of Interest Statement is included.

• Funding Statement is included.

• Data Availability Statement is included where applicable.

• AI disclosure is included where applicable.

• The manuscript has been carefully proofread.

• The submission file is in an accepted format.

35. Editorial Decision

The Editorial Board reserves the right to make decisions regarding the suitability, review, revision, acceptance, rejection, and publication of submitted manuscripts.

Authors are expected to cooperate with the Editorial Office throughout the editorial and publication process.
