Abstract

Canine parvoviral infection is a highly contagious disease that often results in systemic complications, including myocardial involvement. The present study evaluated cardiac function in canine parvovirus infected dogs to characterize myocardial involvement. ECG abnormalities included sinus arrhythmia, wandering pacemaker, increased Q-wave amplitude, ST elevation, tachycardia and shorter P-amplitude, PR and QT intervals.
