A Homeopathic Perspective on the Digital Insomnia & Circadian Rhythm Disruption
Keywords:

Sleep is a fundamental biological process essential for neurocognitive development, emotional regulation, metabolic homeostasis, immune balance, and overall physiological restoration. However, the modern digital era has led to a sharp rise in sleep disturbances associated with excessive screen exposure, particularly among adolescents and young adults. This emerging condition, often referred to as “digital insomnia,” is characterized by delayed sleep onset, fragmented sleep, reduced sleep duration, daytime fatigue, irritability, impaired concentration, and circadian rhythm disruption (biological timing disruption) resulting from prolonged use of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices before bedtime.
