Synopsis

Fungi invaded due to traumatized skin involve tissue within and just  below skin-called subcutaneous mycoses. The dematcious fungi can cause  phaeohyphomycoses, chromoblastomycoses and mycetoma. Dematacious  fungi contain melanin or melanin like pigment in hyphae and spores. These  fungi show dark olivaceous, brown, and black morphologies.
