Homoeopathic Treatment of Verruca Filiformis: A Case Report

Verruca filiformis, commonly known as common warts, is a benign skin condition caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). These lesions predominantly occurs on the hands, fingers and other parts of the body. Usually these are self-limiting, persistent or cosmetically concerning lesion often require medical intervention. This case study helps to know about the effectiveness of homoeopathic medicine in treating verruca vulgaris. A 29 years old male presented with multiple small warty growth over the left chin since 6 months. After detailed case taking and repertorization, he was prescribed with THUJA 200C followed by THUJA 1M. There was significant improvement with gradual reduction in the size of warts with no recurrence observed during the follow up. This case highlights that homoeopathy is safe, and patient-centric therapeutic option for managing dermatological related conditions.
